In an effort to garner community input and educate residents and businesses about an exciting community process, the City will host a General Plan Update Open House from 6-8 pm on October 18 at City Hall, 30111 Crown Valley Parkway.
The Open House will give residents and businesses the chance to learn about the City’s process of updating its General Plan, which serves as a guiding document for the City’s long-term growth and development. Every California city is required to have a General Plan. Most of Laguna Niguel’s current General Plan dates back to 1992 (just after the City’s incorporation) and a lot has changed since then. New housing developments have been built, business and industry needs are different, and the way people get around town has changed.
Looking forward 20 years, how will state and regional trends impact life in Laguna Niguel? What new technologies and innovations will change how people live, work, and play? While the City cannot foresee what the future holds, City staff is preparing for it by updating the General Plan.
This General Plan Update is a way for you to share your vision for the future of Laguna Niguel.
Stop by the Open House anytime between 6 and 8 pm to share your input on a variety of topics including community values and priorities. All ages are welcome and light refreshments will be provided.
